Janice Camacho brings a rich background in design to her role as Mahoney Design Studio’s Visual Designer. Her journey to this position is a story of discovery and passion, beginning with her childhood in Puerto Rico, where she was captivated by the intricate set designs of fantasy films, leading her to pursue a career in this creative field.
Moving to the United States in 2010 for school, Janice took a significant step that brought her closer to her dreams. After completing her education, she worked at HSN as a Set Stylist, where she met Shaunnah and Denise. Her talent and dedication led to an opportunity at Mahoney Design Studio. In her role, Janice is responsible for creating detailed renderings and layouts for design projects, playing a crucial part in bringing the studio's visions to life.
What Janice enjoys most about her work is the opportunity for creative expression, allowing her to expand her skills and contribute to creating spaces that people cherish. Her work is guided by core values of integrity, service, and creativity, principles instilled in her by the most influential person in her life, her mother. Janice's mother’s resilience, honesty, and integrity have shaped her personally and professionally.
Janice holds a BFA in Production Design. Her diverse skill set is a testament to her dedication and passion for design.
Away from work, Janice is committed to giving back, particularly to animal welfare causes, by volunteering at pet shelters. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying movies and nature explorations. Someday, Janice aspires to travel through Europe, experience the charm of local boutique hotels, and build her dream home for her family.
Janice's life in the Tampa Bay Area is shared with her husband and two beloved puppies, rounding out a life filled with creativity, compassion, and a quest for continuous growth.
